PLAN A VISIT

Located on the waterfront in Gananoque, Ontario, the Thousand Islands Boat Museum is a hands-on museum where river history becomes something that can be touched, built, and experienced. The Museum brings the heritage of the St. Lawrence River, the Thousand Islands, and the magic spirit of the region to life by telling stories through boats.

The Boat Museum includes indoor and outdoor exhibit galleries, a Boat Shop Café, a Children’s Activity Center and ongoing outreach programs with local kids. While the four buildings house Museum operations and programs, the Boathouse showcases the Museum’s in-water collection of antique boats and local boating history.

Visit to learn the fascinating stories this region has to tell, cruise the river in luxury, or grab a drink at the Café, all while enjoying stunning river views.
